Schumacher offered Honda SBK ride

Schumi has been spending a lot of his retirement time riding motorcycles and while many do that sort of thing, few actually get offered a ride in Honda SBK team. It appears our former 7-time champ from Kerpen Germany was offered a ride if he wanted it. Now the question is, would he be up for it?
“For the moment he has not asked us to race in the 2009 world championship.
“But if he wants to, there is a way for him (to do it). All he has to do is ask us.”

He needs permission from Todt, Weber and his wife. . . no, he’s screwed!
I kind of look at this As Michael Jordan playing baseball. I know the Schum is talented but just stay retired please
When you are at the level of income and ability as Michael, this IS his hobby. Just like the middle-aged guys riding, I mean cleaning, their Harley’s each weekend. Except when Schumi has a hobby, it is at a top level so to speak.
This is just Carlo Fiorani (head of Honda in Italy) getting some free publicity. In fact, I’m pretty sure that Subaru would offer Schumacher a drive in WRC, Toyota would do the same in NASCAR, hell, Manchester United would offer Schumi a job as a striker, if they thought it would help them sell enough replica shirts.
Schumacher isn’t interested in racing at that level, from what he’s said in the press, and frankly, though he is definitely quick, being competitive in the IDM (the Open German Championship) would put him around 25th in WSBK terms. I’m not sure a 7 time world champion would be interested in getting his butt kicked every weekend.
Kudos to him for riding though, and again, he is definitely quick.
LOL. Good points. Interesting how the translation works. Schumi, who is really fast on 4 wheels, is quick on two but if I recall, Rossi was more than quick on 4 wheels at the Ferrari test. :) Score on for the MotoGP folks. ;)
