Ferrari and Peugeot?

GMM reports that Ferrari may be working with Peugeot for testing of their KERS system on the French squads 908 Le Mans car. While the suggestion is that Ferrari are or have been struggling with the KERS system, they have employed the Peugeot team to shake down the energy recovery system in light of in-season testing bans etc.

to GMM’s credit, they also point out that Ferrari could also just be sharing their system with other teams in different series and Peugeot have chose to work with Ferrari’s system for the upcoming 2009 Le Mans race. Either way, it seems Ferrari and Peugeot could be working together if rumors are true.

well this is a pretty good move if true…I mean you might as well have the best le mans team run your technology…

  2. Jim says:

Perhaps this is their strategy for getting around the testing ban and they are experimenting with KERS

    • WFP says:

that is a good point….use the other high performance machines to escape the ban….does not sound like anyhting Ferrari would do…I like it….

Clever Ferrari, just get through those obstacles.
