Geoff Willis out at RBR; Bourdais next?

Veteran designer Geoff Willis has parted ways with Red Bull Racing according to driver Sebastian Vettel on BBC’s Live 5 radio:

“Geoff did a lot of work and thanks to him we are where we are now,” Vettel told BBC Radio Five Live.

“It’s always very difficult if someone leaves but we have a very good harmony in the team and it shouldn’t affect our performance at all,” he said.

“We know what we have to do and where we want to go.”

The rumors are also persisting regarding Sebastien Bourdais and that Germany could be his final race for STR. We’ll keep you posted on this but Bourdais says it’s only a rumor:

“This rumour has been around since the middle of last season,” Bourdais told AUTOSPORT. “What can I say? I haven’t received any notice from the team that this is my last race so as far as I am concerned it is still a rumour.

“I’ve got a job to do and that’s what I’ve got to concentrate on. I can’t control what people say or where it is coming from.

“It’s very unfortunate but there’s nothing we can do about it. Someone puts it out and now it is all over the place.”

  1. Williams 4ever says:

Will German GP see another “Neck wringing” demonstration by Franz Toast :-? we will know by Sunday evening. If Only Burger was still at his side that would have been a perfect STR To-Go Combo…

  2. Gordon says:

Any rumours as to where Willis is going to? Is this like the Brawn guy who left – probably going to someone else based on this year’s car?
