Barrichello Issues New Threat To Quit Brawn

Am I the only one who sees some irony in this? Brawn GP driver Rubens Barrichello has informed the world that he is still unhappy with the team and that he suspects favoritism of Button over him. Boy and I thought only girls had this kind of drama.
Rubens:
At the end of the day I can quit at the end of the year if I want to but now I want to get on with racing.
Brawn:
I want to understand the whole picture, what he thought, what he said
and we will then deal with it internally.

At the end of the day, they can quit on Rubens NOW, but they just want to get on with racing.
At end of the day they want Tortoise who can toil on Friday and Saturday to get optimum setup to setup a Good Sunday afternoon for their Hare
Rubens, The simple fact of the matter is he was too slow in the race. Now he is bitching, wanting to fly home rather than listening to “blah blah” from the team. Suggestion – ditch him and get Bruno Senna. Maybe then Brawn can pull in some sponsorship money and help Button with his championship before it is too late.
HA! like a GP2 rookie is going to help you win the Constructors title over a 17 year veteran! The Constructors title brings in alot more money than winning Jenson the title. Pissed off or not, he’s still better than a rookie, regardless of what the kid’s last name is.
Beckett – GP2 rookie is just going to get them “Some Sponsor” Monies, COz Gross Brawn has already Fried Honda’s Alimony. Tost is doing the same by getting some Repsol Moolah on board

What I really enjoyed was Ross’ extraordinarily patient and perfectly measured response; he does scare me sometimes. Respect.
And speaking of respect… I suspect Rubens stock has plummeted somewhat, though I can’t help but wonder if he’d still have gone off on one if the team allowed him to finish in front of Jenson after the last round of pit stops…

If I had read your question two hours ago I would have said ‘nope, no creativity there’. But… if I were a genius with an ego the size of Greenland who had (part?) masterminded the most crushing dominance in F1 history, then left to mastermind the turnaround of a manufacturer team, then invested a wad of my dosh purchasing it, knowing that I might only have enough momentum for one shot at the titles, I might get very creative. Yeah, I might get a little Salvador Dali on things…
Yeah, Rubens just might have a very good reason to get upset about things, but I think he went about it the Stupid Way™. If he’s going to do that again, he may as well just get on the next plane for Sao Paolo.
Yeah, when I saw the refueling problem, I thought, uh-oh. Couldn’t happen at a worse time. Bet we hear that Rubens is upset.
But it’s a strange threat. Who would he leap to on the F1 grid? I would say this is the stupid way but I understand there’s some trademark restrictions on saying that.
