After a long, dry, miserable hiatus it seems that our beloved World Rally Championship will be on TV in the US again. Autosport posted the story:
WRC wins TV deal in the US

The World Rally Championship’s promoters have struck a deal to screen the category in the United States.
In what’s been seen as a vital move to re-establish the sport in one of the world’s key car markets, the WRC promoter International Sportsworld Communicators (ISC) has secured a deal with Discovery Communication channel HD Theater, which has a total audience of 633 million.
ISC CEO said: “This is tremendous news for the championship and our fans in the United States. It’s a ground-breaking deal which means the WRC has a high-profile broadcast presence in the US. We’re looking forward to taking the WRC to an ever-widening audience in the significant US market.”
Long has previously stated that it remains one of ISC’s aims to return a World Rally Championship event to America. The series hasn’t included a State-side round since Miki Biasion won the Olympus Rally in 1988.

Woohoo!!! I can’t wait. Is WRC produced in HD?
One more nail in the coffin of Speed TV, as it grows increasingly worthless and irrelevant except to those who want low-rider, pimped whips that only make left turns.
HD Theater runs A LOT of auto-related content. This could be a move toward competing with Speed.
No. Seriously.
HD ? I will be a happy men just to watch it on TV, ain’t picky at all, but no chance in that to happen, I’ll dream on..
what happened-and who screwed up wrc on tv in the US.i can”t wait to see rallying on HD theater! you know i like left turns. right turns and i really love yumps!
