The one guy I really, really like in Indycar (unfortunately as I would prefer him in F1) is Dario Franchitti. Great news then that Dario has just clinched his second Indycar Championship title today at Homstead Florida.
Tactics played into Dario’s hands as he conserved fuel while the others needed a splash and dash to finish the race. The lack of a stop placed Dario in the lead and he wins the race and championship.
Congratulations to Dario Franchitti!

Okay, now I see Bernie salivating… Dario AND wife – Great Crowd pullers!
I hope the Lotus F1 team is knocking on his door today…
I think that would be terrific! Dario would be a great addition to F1 and not that I think he would dominate but the guy is a good character for any motor sport series. USF1, Manor, CAmpos or Lotus might do well commercially to have the Indycar champ on their team.
Well. Thanks very much NC. For spoiling my fun. I was really keen on watching this race on my national sports network, which was planning to delay-air the Homestead race for the first time 3 weeks from now. Way to spoil it. Well done !!!
PS. I might/shall watch Eye of the Beholder once again in the coming days.
Cheers Todd.
I didn’t see the race but Kohl, who attended, said it was a real yawner and I didn’t miss much. :)
