WRC gets Motors TV deal

I swear one of these days, WRC is going to show up on a channel I get! In the meantime, I’ll just report on the fortunes of others.
World Rally Championship will now be seen more in-depth that ever before thanks to a three year deal with Motors TV. (Which as you might have deduced from its catchy title is a moto specific channel)
The deal begins next season and will include an hour long broadcasts on the evening of each leg of every round in addition to previews and featured material on the sport.
World Rally Championship promoter Simon Long
We understand that the hardcore rally fan has wanted the opportunity to really get under the skin of this sport, well, this is that opportunity. Motors is the go-to station for all motorsport fans and they intend to make the World Rally Championship their flagship program with the most in-depth detail a fan is likely to see anywhere.
There’s no way we can put all of the on-board footage into our international program – a program with broader appeal for those fans who want a 365-degree perspective on the sport – but Motors will certainly be making use of all the on-boards. Beyond the reports, there will also be extensive news coverage of the sport as well. This will be a multi-dimensional experience of the WRC, showcasing to other broadcasters, what is possible with the WRC. Motors will be lifting the lid on what we consider to be the best adrenalin-fueled adventure sport in the world.

I am in your boat too Grace, WRC isn’t shown here either, we may be lucky to get a few minutes of highlights late Sunday afternoon, or if we are REALLY lucky we’ll have a half hour show of highlights.
We do have a dedicated Free-to-Air sports channel which is great because it shows the F1 Quali and Race live, no practice yet though. But most of the time it is showing Netball, Basketball, College football (I dont get how the rules work in that game yet). We also get highlights of GTA, Andra Pro Drag racing, British tourers etc.
But no WRC… Yet.
