It seems everyone’s pretty up-in-arms about Eddie Jordan’s predictions that Michael Schumacher will race for Mercedes GP next year.
Well, everyone except Schumacher.
The multi-time world champ added a new statement to his sporadically re-freshed official website a short time ago, and it focuses entirely on his weekend in America racing karts:

Michael at the SuperNational in Las VegasSKUSA – karting sport at very high level
“We are in Las Vegas now since Wednesday, and I am really looking forward to experiencing this event. As always, my friends at Tonykart have put together a super package which I explicitly would like to say thank you for. I managed to go karting quite some times lately because I still, after all those years, have a lot of fun driving – and surprisingly I was even quite successful at these sporadic entries. I simply enjoy this pureness in karting, the direct fights, the duels wheel-to-wheel; nothing changed about that. To me, Karting is still the best of all schools for drivers to learn about duelling or the technical details. I am deeply convinced about that. So again, I am really looking forward to racing this high-class race weekend in Las Vegas, this here at the SKUSA is karting sport on a very high level.”
Oh well. Maybe after he’s done dueling with Nelson Piquet this weekend he can get around to addressing the Mercedes rumors.

No Willie Weber yet saying its 200% likely it won’t happen? I’m disappointed truely…
There isn’t as much hype (or excitement more so) this time around. I guess because we were burnt once.
