Friday snark: What’s fast to Jr Jr is slow to Danica

OK, I’m going classic “media” here and twisting things a bit, but I couldn’t help make the connection between Danica Patrick’s comments after her first stock car test.
On Friday, Patrick tested at Daytona and was 12th out of 24 cars during a rain-shortened practice.

Her thoughts? It felt “a little slow.”
Compare that to Nelson Piquet Jr.’s comments after he tested a NASCAR truck a month or so back. Remember? He was surprised how fast it was. [Plus that the truck didn't slam into the wall, which is what he's used.]
Now, I know they were in different vehicles, and expectations might differ as a result.
But I still think the basic takeaway is: What feels fast to Nelsinho feels slow to Danica.
Way to go Nelson!
Now, to actually give this post some heft, I do — seriously now — wonder which of these drivers is playing a better PR game. Should Danica be “dissing” NASCAR by calling it slow? Or does her comment give credibility to IndyCar?
And what about Nelson Piquet? Does he just seem like an idiot in his reaction or does it lend a bit more spark to NASCAR truck racing for a former Formula 1 driver to say it felt fast?
Or just toss some snark into the comments section. It’s Friday. It’s almost the holidays.

Or was JnrJnr blowing smoke because he’s desperate for a job?
Now you’re taikng! I suspect complimenting a potential employer goes much farther than being critical. ;) Well played sir.
Todd, have I told you lately how handsome you are?
LOL.
On the other hand, it could be just that Piquet expected the truck to be slower than it was.
I do realise that this option requires us to think positively about Nelsinho, and therefore is unlikely to be taken seriously on this site ;-)
