formula 1 blog podcast

Join Victoria, Steve and me as we break down the week that was F1. Very little Schumacher stuff so you will like it…a lot.  Not to mention, you get to hear the other woman from Western Pennsylvania.  The “lovely and undeniable” one.

    a) Talking of new tracks not having personalities, they took off Bus Stop chicane in SPA, thats terrible, everytime cars passes that area now, I think of “Hey that used to Bus Stop Chicane, where JPM made a Divine Pass on Schumacher in 2004″

    b) Talking of elevation changes and new tracks, its not true that the new tracks don’t have elevation changes, Sepang has good amount of elevation changes. and so does Turkey – Its just that Turkey has terrible landscape and everything gets lost

    c) Thank you very much for shout out, I enjoyed the Holiday emails :D

      Hey W4E:

Maybe it’s our feeds / broadcasts that don’t show off the elevation changes as much as they should, I don’t know. But I know you’re right about Sepang and Turkey (although for sure the elevation changes get lost behind the crowds!); I’m especially befuddled that Abu Dhabi wasn’t more rollin’ — it isn’t like expense was spared there, and I think it is the simplest, easiest way to improve a track.

Thanks for listening already! I’m still plunging through #139!!

Bernie in for the bravado award. I now have a warm familiar feeling inside, can we give it to Ron Dennis or Lewis Hamilton next week, please?

I have some suggestions for Bernie for years with as much talent on display. The best candidate is probably ’84, with three current champions (Rosberg, Lauda, Piquet), and three future ones (Mansell, Senna, Prost) on the grid. And that’s ignoring the champ that never was, Stefan Bellof.

Though he’s right, seeing four champions who have already won it is a rare thing. If Mansell and Prost hadn’t kept coming and going as they did, it might have happened in the early nineties.
