Yes, car launch announcement day: Renault on Jan. 31

We’ve got our third announced car launch date: Renault’s Robert Kubica Special will drop on Jan. 31.

From the official Formula 1 site:

The world’s media will get its first glimpse of Renault’s 2010 car in Spain at the end of this month. The wraps will come off the R30 at a special presentation at the Valencia circuit on Sunday 31 January, the day before the start of the first pre-season F1 test.

Former BMW Sauber star Robert Kubica is heading Renault’s 2010 driver line-up, though his team mate is yet to be confirmed. Kubica is expected to attend the launch, along with new team principal Eric Boullier and Gerard Lopez, chairman of Genii Capital, the company which recently purchased a major stake in the French squad.

I guess that means the clock is ticking on signing up Kubica’s side kick.
