Your View: Which team will show internal strife first?

Now that the Ferrari Wrooom event is over, there has been another round of “how well will Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso get along” coverage in the past few days.

And despite all the “Kumbaya” talk from Ferrari, I still can’t imagine that the season is going to end without there being some strife inside Maranello.

Nor McLaren. Nor Mercedes. Maybe even Red Bull.

So, today’s question: Which team do you think will reveal internal strife first this season?

Keep in mind, the question is which team will reveal that strife. It might not be the first with internal battles, but the first that lets those fights leak out.

And it might not be one of the “Big Four.” Maybe Rubens Barrichello won’t like the cut of Nico Hulkenberg’s jib.

Its got to be McLaren. Lewis (well his dad) is known to cause strife and winge if he doesn’t get his way his way, and Button is a very sly manipulator (smiles to the cameras, but will bitch like a little girl behind the scenes).

I have to agree that McLaren will most likely be the first… if not only team to broadcast such strife.

I hate to say it cause I’m an Alonso fan, but it will be Ferrari. Ferrari knows McLaren’s mistake with Fernando was not making him the undisputed #1 driver and that’s when Alonso started acting up. Ferrari will overdue it and make it very clear Massa is the number two to keep Alonso focussed, yet Massa as a result will start some fireworks….but maybe it will be a good thing, no? McLaren will ignore Button, sadly. And Mercedes will focus on near term wins and not work to build Nico into the next big driver that he can become.

    McLaren – Hamilton followed. by
    Mercedes – Keke Rosberg.

The fact that McLaren takes their drivers in some remote site in Finland and makes them “Work” the drivers return to grid, grumpy men in Final ( too many shower room debacles).

McLaren should take page from Ferrari’s book, Go out Vroom, have team bonding exercise and not Run for miles in Snow with Vo2Max Calculator connected to nose and some crazy Finnish Scientist, Sticking Needles to suck life out of you…

    Martin Whitmarsh are you listening?

@ Mercedes – The Moment the Cookie of Nico Rosberg being the next big thing starts crumbling, Keke will go in press to cry how Michael is playing games and the usual good stuff associated with #1,#2 recipe.
I hope Nico takes it easy, after all nobody expects him to Beat the “The Great Hulk back from Hibernation”. But if he puts that pressure on himself, he will be on accelerated path out of F1

If someone wants my Opinion on F&F@F™ (Those are not cuss words, they are Fernando and Felipe@Ferrari). Fernando knows if he wants to prolong his F1 career, he needs no repeat of McLaren Debacle and also to prove to Fraternity that he was the victim and not the Villian at 2007. So even when Massa beats him (though that will be far and few, given Nando’s Talent) He will smile and move forwards, of course He will do Rubens@BlahBlah™ occassionally, so will Felipe, but that will be like every other couple, they will bicker, but then wake up next day with smiley faces..

  5. I’ll go with McLaren as well. I think Ferrari could have issues if the drivers touch, punt or hamper each other but I think McLaren will have a hard time tempering Hamilton and restraining Button.

i think there will be problems at ferrari because massa will not want to be the NO.2 driver

  7. raithrover says:

Has to be Fernando at Ferrari or Massa. We’ll have to duck to avoid the toys and probably the pram as well…

  8. Jason Carter says:

McLaren. Hamiltons dad vs Buttons dad in the pit lane!

Maybe STR will make headlines again by trying to firing another driver before mid-season and hopefully Tost is finally “Out of control” just like Scott Speed said a few years back.

Nuts to you all!! it’s going to be Mercedes :)

Rosberg will be the first to have a bit of a wobbly. Hamilton and Alonso have been through this before and will be a lot better at holding their nerve if things don’t go their way. I can’t recall Hamilton ever shying away from a good fight (I’m prepared to stand corrected) and Alonso probably knows that Ferrari will have little patience for a repeat of ’07.

Rosberg may be feeling that if he can’t shine at Mercedes in 2010 he won’t have the chance to do so again in F1. I can only imagine what he must have been thinking/feeling when he heard Schumacher was a done deal. Schumacher may want preferred status, and though I doubt Merc will give it to him automatically, it may not be enough to calm Nico’s nerves if things don’t go well for him.

i have been seeing these statements rosberg is making about shuey, not a smart move, don’t give the man more motivation
