Braking news from FIA, the 2014 series will see the engines turned up to 18,000 RPM and refuelling re-introduced for the upcoming Spanish GP.

An FIA representative said, “Due to the complains were are receiving  from fan, venue hosts and Formula 1 drives, we have decided that we no longer want to be the laughing stock of the motor racing world and we will now make quick changers to the sport.”

“As of the Spanish GP we will implement the changers.”

Teams are shocked regarding the news but also can see the benefit of the change.

“This needed to happen as I am sick and tired of hearing my team principle biting on his nails throughout the race in my headphones, “said one of the RedBull Engineers.

Pirelli also acknowledged that their tires will have to be changed and will be introducing a new tire by Silverstone.

“This has come as a shock but we are committed to the sport and the well being of the sport,”

The last time Refuelling was permitted was in 2009.

Hi, I have been a Formula 1 fanatic since 1987 when my family took me to the Adelaide GP. I now enjoy close friendships with team members at Ferrari and within the Holden Racing Team (V8Supercars).
  • Nice April Fools!!!!

    • That Adam is a cheeky Aussie. If only it were true. ;)

      • Have to admit, when I saw the headline, I jumped of joy thinking that finally we are going to see real racing and not this fuel management game. Then I remember that it is April 1st… Damn you for playing with my feelings!!!!

  • Rapierman

Why do I have the sinking feeling that this is one big April Fools joke?

    • Oops commented in the wrong box. This was meant for you Paul. Because the FIA would never do such an about face with out nauseating amount of meeting and debriefs. Lol. This makes twice I have been suckered into a story. Did you see the one about Red Bull buying Cosworth and building their own PU’s?

      • Rapierman

Nope, never heard about that one.

  • I wish this was true.

  • because the FIA would never do such an about face with out nauseating amount of meeting and briefs

  • The part that sucks about this is that it is 8am on April 2nd as I read this. I did a big “whaaaaaaaat!?” …until I read the comments and realized the date in the US. (^-^;;

  • April 1st joke… lol

  • But, but,…. It’s April 2nd somewhere, so it must be true, right?

  • I just realized how gullible I am… Damn

  • Tim schmalenberg

Formula 1 is not a sport that would joke, it’s way to serious

  • If this was really from the FIA they’d use good English, even though they’re French.

  • Nice avatar. Ghost in the Shell

  • I hate april fools day

  • I like how the pic of Mad Max Mosley was used instead of JT’s… Oh, the 1st day of April, scores of suckers born on this day.
