Report: McLaren, Mercedes, Force India, Renault must alter rear diffusers

This feels so 2009, but, here you have it:
It looks as though McLaren, Merecedes, Force India and Renault all are going to have to tweak their rear diffusers before the start of the Australian GP next week.
Autosport is reporting that the FIA has determined the starter holes on the four teams’ cars were too wide, [...]

According to an Autosport article published Monday, there are a few teams who may have to change the design of their diffusers before the Australian GP in less than two weeks.  Apparently, some of the teams have gotten technically clever and manufactured some oddly shaped starter motors which require specially shaped holes in the diffuser, [...]

Apparently, Formula 1 teams are close to outlawing the controversial double diffuser, Autosport is reporting.
The change would be effective starting in 2011.
