Toyota promises web finale for fans

I’m keeping a virtual death watch, of sorts, on the Toyota and BMW F1 teams via their official websites.
Today, Toyota announced that their final hours are not going to be quiet. The team is planning some sort of farewell, and it just might be worth checking out:

I know everyone has been worrying about this.

Now that Toyota has announced its withdrawal from Formula 1, surely the company would follow suit and quit competing in NASCAR.
We all can rest easy. Toyota will stay in American stock car racing.

I may be going out on a bit of limb, but I think that Ferrari’s reaction to the departure of Toyota from Formula 1 may end up having the bigger impact on the sport — far larger than the sudden disappearance of Japanese makers from the grid.

Update: Renault officially delays F1 decision

Despite Renault managing director Jean-François Caubet’s insistence that the team will remain in Formula 1, the official line is this: We haven’t decided.
