Middle East and Asia-based stock car series Speedcar has apparently hung it up according to GMM and the disappearance of their web site. MotoGP: Melandri to race in Speedcar again

The Speedcar Series has confirmed that MotoGP rider Marco Melandri will return to the stock car championship for this weekend’s race in Dubai.
Malandri was spot on for his first race in Qatar by qualifying fourth and then almost winning the second race before suffering a busted gearbox.

MotoGP rider Marco Melandri will joing the Speedcar Series this weeken at Qatar. Sure, he’s out of a ride for the 2009 MotoGP season, but Speedcar? Seriously? Now I knew things were bad for Marco but I didn’t realize they were this bad.
