There has been no official update for a few days now in the condition of Michael Schumacher following a head injury while skiing in France but a family friend, Philippe Strieff, told Sky Sports F1 that Schumacher is out of danger according to a long-time family friend and doctor, Gerard Saillant:

“I’m not a doctor, I’m repeating what Gerard Saillant (surgeon and friend of the Schumacher family) told me.

“Gerard Saillant said it is a serious condition but his life is not in danger anymore now, thankfully.

“He was such a healthy man. He’s 45, he’s young and has always been very fit. He is in top shape physically so there are no reasons why he would not make it.”

While being ‘out of danger’ is a good sign, the hospital may have an official update on Monday.
