The long summer break of our discontent is finally over and what better way for Formula One to return than at Spa?! While Andre Lotterer makes his Grand Prix debut and Alexander Rossi apparently doesn’t, the F1B staff are back to their normal ways of trying to decide which Mercedes driver will win this time around. Unless you’re Paul, that is. While six staffers are picking Hamilton for the victory, twice as many nods as teammate Rosberg gets, our resident driving instructor is going with Valterri Bottas to pick up his first win at one of F1’s most storied circuits.

Meanwhile, at the much less sharp end of the grid, the battle to claim two points for First Out sees Maldonado, Vergne and Raikkonen each get two picks, with one apiece going to Guitterez, Massa, Perez and Bianchi. With the battle up front between Tony and JP down to just three points and the fight for third having four staffers separated by six points, a big shake up of the Staff Championship points could definitely be in the making come Sunday.

    First out: Maldonado

My total so far is 89 points. Would have theorhetically been good enough for 3rd.

  • I don’t understand the love that Red Bull is getting this weekend. Weak engine at Spa = “You’re gonna have a bad time” Williams has to be odds on fav for 3rd and 4th and the win if something happens to the mercs. Force India should also make some ground up.

That’s what I thought (Mercedes teams would dominate), but qualifying would indicate that both Red Bull and Ferrari aren’t that far away. But then that is probably why I am fighting Grace for ‘team not last’
