As the Formula One teams reach Russia, six of eight FBC staffers are hoping that the back and forth between Vettel and Hamilton continues on it’s previous path of alternating wins. Granted, we’re only three rounds in, but we do seem to be heading for a head to head battler that could very well last the entire season.

All staffers bar Andrew are seeing the two championship protagonists coming home one-two, with Andrew seeing the second Mercedes of Bottas following his teammate across the line. Most podiums are filled with those same three drivers, with Raikkonen making an appearance in third for Grace and Ricciardo taking that same spot in Tony’s picks.

As per usual following those first three races, everyone’s top six picks are made up almost entirely of Mercedes, Ferraris and Red Bulls, with Massa getting in to three staffers picks. Both McLarens get nods for First Out, with Vandoorne being this week’s unfortunate leader with three picks. Lance Stroll gets two and Raikkonen and Palmer take one apiece. Paul’s once fifteen point lead in the standings has been dwindled down to just ten by Todd, with Tom just a further four points adrift.

    I’m going with:

    1. Lewis Hamilton
    2. Sebastian Vettel
    3. Valtteri Bottas
    4. Kimi Raikkonen
    5. Sergio Perez
    6. Romain Grosjean

….and first out will be Fernando Alonso.

Also, I’m a point ahead of Charsley.

With the long run pace advantage that Ferrari showed in FP2 it looks like Tom and JP made the right choice for the top step.
