According to MotoGP’s website, Ben Spies will be ready to return to the track at Indianapolis. That’s good news after the Texan suffered a shoulder injury in 2012 and then again in the practice session for the race at Qatar in 2013. he’s been on a rehab program and feels he’ll be 100% for Indy:

“We needed to follow the doctors’ orders and do what they actually said,” Spies laughs. “I am going to be 100% at Indy and I am just getting ready. I’m feeling good…it’s the first time I haven’t really been in pain and I am looking forward to getting back on the bike. The start of my season is at Indy.”

It’s good news as both Dani Pedrosa and Jorge Lorenzo have been seriously banged up this year and perhaps bringing Spies back will give the crowd something to cheer for other than a walk-away title win by Marc Marques.
